(CNN)North Korea states delegates it sent out to a United Nations' conference in New York were "actually robbed" by United States authorities as they aimed to leave John F. Kennedy International Airport on Friday.

In a report released Sunday, Pyongyang's state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) implicated United States Department of Homeland Security officers and airport cops of taking a diplomatic bundle far from the delegation, which it stated brought a legitimate diplomatic carrier certificate.

KCNA called the event "a abhorrent and prohibited act of justification," including that United States authorities acted like "gangsters."
