After the video game when faced about it, Gurriel said sorry, stating through a translator (listed below):
"I didn't indicate to anger any person in Japan. I have a great deal of regard. I played in Japan. I was commenting to my [colleagues] that I had not had any best of luck versus Japanese pitchers here in the United States"
The commissioner of Major League Baseball, Rob Manfred , will apparently meet Gurriel today to go over the occurrence and potentially by far a penalty.
I've been informed MLB will talk to Gurriel about the dugout gesture towards Darvish and think about discipline.

Very, extremely thoughtful from Darvish.
Let's hope Gurriel finds out why this kind of thing is totally undesirable and let's likewise hope MLB in fact does something about this.
We'll see.
