Flint water lead amounts improve, below federal limits

(CNN)The levels of lead in Flint, Michigan's water evaluated listed below the federal limitation in a current six-month research study, the state department that supervises water quality revealed Tuesday.

The research study, for the duration starting July 1 and ending December 31, discovered levels of lead were 12 parts per billion or lower in 90% of the samples taken, considerably lower than the action level of 15 ppb, the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality stated.
