Elizabeth Smart says she is finally ready to tell the story of her kidnapping ordeal on the big screen. At a TV critics meeting in Beverly Hills on Friday, Smart said it took her years to get to a point where she could open up about her nine months in captivitybut now, nearly 15 years after she was rescued, she's thrown herself into helping to produce Lifetime's I Am Elizabeth Smart. The film, due out in November, will see Alana Boden play Smart and Skeet Ulrich play her abductor. Smart also narrates the film, which tells the story of how a 14-year-old Smart was snatched from her bedroom and forced to endure months of abuse by her captor, Brian David Mitchell, who was later convicted and sentenced to life. I will say that it is the best worst movie Ive ever seen. I mean, I think its so well done. I think it was accurate, Smart said. Im very proud of it, but at the same time, part of me thinks Ill be happy if I never have to watch it again.
