Late on Sunday, videos and pictures of flashing traffic signals apparently going off inside the White House began making their method around Twitter.

A regional Fox station, which had its cam feed pointed at the White House, stated the flashes might be seen around 8:30 p.m. EDT from windows on the executive estate's second-floor. "The lights appeared to be strobing inside the structure," the news station composed on its Facebook page. "We're working to learn exactly what those were."

No description was instantly readily available from the White House, so naturally Twitter users began providing some ideas:

Fox 35 anchor Tom Johnson tweeted that the lights ultimately switched off, and it might have been a reflection of sirens or from something occurring on the street.

Apparently, Johnson's speculation was appropriate. The New York Post reported Monday that the Secret Service stated a medical occurrence happened outside the White House premises, and the lights were a reflection from the emergency situation lorries reacting to the matter.

"The traffic signals had absolutely nothing to do with the White House," the paper priced estimate a Secret Service representative as stating.
