A brand-new suit submitted on behalf of a number of Atheist complainants argues the expression "In God We Trust" on U.S. loan is unconstitutional, and requires the federal government to obtain rid of it.

Sacramento lawyer Michael Newdow submitted the claim Monday in Akron, Ohio. He 'd unsuccessfully took legal action against the federal government a minimum of two times challenging using the expression "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Throughout much of his suit, the word looks like "G-d."

Newdow declares "In God We Trust" breaks the separation of church and state. One complainant states his Atheism is "considerably strained since he is required to bear upon his individual a spiritual declaration that triggers him to pick up his federal government legitimizing, promoting and strengthening damaging and unfavorable mindsets not just versus Atheists in basic, however versus him personally."

The suit represents 41 complainants from Ohio and Michigan, consisting of numerous unnamed moms and dads and kids who are atheists or are being raised as atheists. Accuseds consist of Congress, Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew and numerous federal companies.
