Martha Elaine Wash (born December 23, 1953) is an American singer-songwriter, known for her distinctive and powerful voice. Wash achieved fame as one half of the successful act 'The Weather Girls', best known for the multi-platinum single "It's Raining Men".
In January 1993, Wash released her debut self-titled album. The album spawned the number one Dance hits "Carry On" and "Give It to You".
This interview of Martha Wash was broadcast shortly after the release in the Dutch weekly AVRO TV Magazine 'Forza' which was presented by Jessica Broekhuis and Humberto Tan.
It was broadcast by AVRO TV on 29 January 1993.
