Keira Knightley arrived at Buckingham Palace this morning to receive an OBE.  The English actress was made an officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire by Prince Charles during an Investiture ceremony.  The 33-year-old Oscar-nominated movie star picked up the prestigious accolade for her services to drama and charity.  Ahead of the ceremony Keira posed for pictures with her husband, James Righton and her parents, Sharman Knightley and Kevin William Knightley, who all joined the star on her special day.  Keira wore a stylish yellow tweed skirt and jacket with a white shirt for the royal event.  She added a black piece of ribbon which was tied into a bow at the collar of her blouse.  Wearing her dark hair down in loose waves with a centre parting, she topped off the look with a matching hat made of the same material.  A pair of nude-coloured lace-up heels completed her smart and chic outfit.  Keira was pictured receiving her medal from the Prince of Wales, 70, in the Ballroom of Buckingham Palace.  His Royal Highness congratulated the actress on her honour and placed the decoration on the lapel of her jacket.  Also at royal residence today was singer Niomi Daley, also know as Ms Dynamite, 37, who was made an MBE and film director Peter Greenaway, 76, who was made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE).  Source link Like this:Like Loading...

Early life

The 'Gold' actor admits he's learned the hard way not to talk about his work until it's complete as sometimes the final movie is very different to how he hoped it would be.

He admitted: "I've given this advice: don't do press junkets or talk about the film until you've see it. I've done that before and I went and saw the movie and I was like: 'Every interviewer I've talked to must have been thinking, what fricking movie is he talking about?'”

And the Oscar-winning star claimed he's never reached his own high standards in his work.

He told The Guardian newspaper: "I mean, I've never been in a film or given a performance that was as good as I'd hoped it would be.

"I've come close. I've seen some that are close. The movie that was closest to the script that I've ever been a part of is 'Mud'. There was like one scene different and the dialogue is almost exactly what Jeff Nichols wrote."

However, Matthew is still proud of some of his work and thinks he's made some "great" movies in the past.

He added: " I've done performances that I'm very happy with and I'm like, 'Good job, McConaughey!'”

He told Variety: "I absolutely disagree. I really, vehemently disagree. Actors should be able to play anything, and that's why I love performance capture technology. What should be the point is that whatever colour your skin is, whatever shape you are, whatever height you are, whatever your makeup is as an actor, you should have the ability to play anything."

Andy said he wants equal opportunities in the movie industry, but he believes in artistic freedom.

Speaking about when Peter Jackson asked him to play King Kong, he explained: "I had thought 'Ok, I'll be going back into my career as a conventional actor.' But then Peter Jackson asked me to play King Kong, and that was a real epiphany moment -- sort of going, 'That, for me, is the end of typecasting.' Of course, equal representation and opportunity is what [the conversation] should be about, but we're in the art of the imagination."

Coronation Street actor Alex Bain and his girlfriend, Levi Selby, have become parents after welcoming their daughter, Lydia-Rose.  The ITV star is said to be delighted by the new arrival and the couple have received congratulatory messages from friends online.  Taking to Facebook, one friend wrote: “Congratulations Levi and Alex on the birth of your baby girl!”  Another said: “Congrats to you and Alex on the arrival of your baby girl! Get Me Out of Here.  The Liverpudlian retired from boxing after losing to world cruisereight champion Oleksandr Usyk on Saturday night.  And he plans to shun the limelight having made £15million from the final three fights of his career.   “I'm sorry to disappoint you but I’ve already refused. In all honesty, I’m not going to lie, fame isn't really suited to me and my kind of lifestyle," he told talkSPORT .  “I'm going to try and disappear. I've got three or four interviews left to do this week, and this will be one of the final ones, and then I just want to disappear and live a normal life.  “I've had a fantastic journey but on Saturday night Tony Bellew died. Tony Bellew is someone who fights in a boxing ring and my name is Anthony Bellew.  “I've worked 20 years at making Tony Bellew into this monster… it’s over now and I can’t wait to just live a normal life."  There was to be no fairytale finish for the brave Bellew, who was put down with a crisp right jab, left hook combination before referee Terry O'Connor waved the count two minutes into the eighth round.  An emotional but magnanimous Bellew said afterwards: "I just tried to take that one final step and, you know what, I wasn't good enough but I'll be able to live with that forever.  "If I wouldn't have taken this fight, that would have killed me because I would have always been 'was I good enough?' The fact of the matter is I just wasn't, he's better than me.  "Part of me feels like I've failed again but it's boxing at the highest level so you've got to accept you can't always win.  "If I'm being honest I got tired for the first time in my entire career. I don't know why or how it happened but I just got tired. He's brilliant, I have no bad words to say about Oleksandr, I only wish him well.  "I went out against the best cruiserweight and he can lay claim to being the greatest cruiserweight of all time.  "No excuses, I gave it everything I had, I couldn't have prepared any better. My career is over. I've been doing this for 20 years."

HOMECOMING is a mind-bending psychological thriller starring Julia Roberts and directed by Sam Esmail (creator of MR. ROBOT). Heidi Bergman (Julia Roberts) is a caseworker at the Homecoming Transitional Support Center, a Geist Group facility helping soldiers transition back to civilian life. Four years later, Heidi has started a new life, living with her mother (Sissy Spacek) and working as a small-town waitress, when a Department of Defense auditor (Shea Whigham) comes to her with questions about why she left the Homecoming facility. Heidi begins to realize that there’s a whole other story behind the story she’s been telling herself.

Based on the popular podcast of the same name, HOMECOMING is created by Eli Horowitz and Micah Bloomberg. The cast also includes Jeremy Allen White, Alex Karpovsky, Dermot Mulroney, among others. HOMECOMING will debut exclusively on Amazon Prime Video fall 2018.

Marvel Comics Giant Stan Lee Has Died At 95 | Celebrity News

Stan Lee, the legendary writer, editor and publisher of Marvel Comics whose fantabulous but flawed creations made him a real-life superhero to comic-book lovers everywhere, has died. He was 95.

Lee was rushed to the hospital from his home in Los Angeles early in the morning, Variety reported. His cause of death was not released and his representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Lee, who began in the business in 1939 and created or co-created Black Panther, Spider-Man, X-Men, The Mighty Thor, Iron Man, The Fantastic Four, The Incredible Hulk, Daredevil, Ant-Man and other characters, died early Monday morning at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Ileana D'Cruz (born 1 November 1987) is an Indian film actress who predominantly appears in Telugu and Hindi films.

D'Cruz won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South for the 2006 Telugu film Devadasu. She established herself in Telugu cinema with such commercially successful films as Pokiri (2006), Jalsa (2008), Kick (2009) and Julayi (2012). In Tamil cinema, D'Cruz has starred in Kedi (2006) and Shankar's Nanban (2012).

In 2012, D'Cruz made her Hindi film debut with Anurag Basu's critically and commercially successful Barfi!, for which she received critical appreciation and several accolades, including the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Allu Arjun is an Indian film actor who primarily works in Telugu cinema. After playing as a child artist in Vijetha and as a dancer in Daddy, Arjun made his adult debut in Gangotri.

Lost Child (2018) indie film starring Leven Rambin. Interviews with actress Leven Rambin, filmmaker Ramma Mosley, and co-producer Lizbeth Chappel as they talk about making the film in the Ozarks with the help of local residents, and doing it in a truly independent style. Written by Tim Macy and Ramaa Mosley, Lost Child is a 2018 dramatic thriller about a young army veteran (Rambin) returning home to the Ozarks dealing with PTSD and the mission to reconnect with her estranged brother. She soon finds an abandoned young boy in the woods and starts searching for answers about the child as she deals with her own family turmoil, the PTSD, while confronting the mysterious world of folklore, clan rules and lies, that may put her own life in greater danger in order to protect the young boy and uncover the truth.

Lost Child is in limited theatrical release now.
