Storm chasers killed in pursuit of tornado

(CNN)Three storm chasers, consisting of a set of Weather Channel professionals, were eliminated Tuesday while chasing after a twister in Texas, authorities stated.

They were noticable dead at the scene of a two-vehicle crash about 5 miles west of Spur, authorities stated.
The crash happened when a black Suburban taking a trip north on Farm to Market Road 1081 about 3:30 p.m. went through a stop indication and hit a Jeep taking a trip west on Farm to Market Road 2794, inning accordance with Sgt. John Gonzalez of the Texas Department of Public Safety.
    Authorities recognized the chauffeur of the Suburban as Kelley Gene Williamson, 57, of Cassville, Missouri. The Suburban's guest was Randall Delane Yarnall, 55, likewise of Cassville. The Jeep's chauffeur was determined as Corbin Lee Jaeger, 25, of Peoria, Arizona.
    Authorities stated Williamson was not using his safety belt and was ejected from the automobile. Yarnall and Jaeger were using their safety belt.
    Williamson and Yarnall were professionals for the Weather Channel , the station stated in a declaration.
    The 2 "were cherished members of the weather condition neighborhood. We are distressed by this loss and our inmost compassions head out to the households and enjoyed ones of all included," the Weather Channel stated.
    Lt. Bryan Witt of the DPS stated the 3 were going after a twister in Dickens County.
    There was a validated twister reported about the exact same time, inning accordance with CNN Weather.
    Spur is almost 70 miles east of Lubbock.
