(CNN)Ohio Gov. John Kasich stated Monday that he would grade President Donald Trump's efficiency as an "insufficient."

Citing a Washington Post-ABC News survey revealing 94% of Trump citizens authorize his task efficiency, while just 42% of all Americans authorize, Cooper asked the Kasich why there is such a big divide.

"This is sort of symptomatic," Kasich stated. "'I chose him. I use that uniform.'--'I didn't choose him. I use a various uniform.' I believe individuals who chose him, who see things they do not like, need to acknowledge that. When he does something that's favorable, and individuals who didn't vote for him have to acknowledge. We wish to be for our President, due to the fact that if we are tearing each other apart, absolutely nothing will ever get done."

When asked whether he would run for the White House in 2020, the previous governmental prospect stated "extremely not likely."

"Very not likely that I will run for public workplace," Kasich stated.

"You would not close the door on it?" Cooper asked, to which Kasich responded, "How do you close the door on anything?" He included, "If I see something I have to do to assist my nation, that I truly think that I need to do, then I would believe I would most likely do it."

Kasich's response on the 2020 concern Monday night was far more open than a response he had actually offered to the exact same concern on CNN's "State of the Union" in late March . At the time, Kasich stated "no" consistently to the concern, absolutely rejecting he was setting himself up for a future governmental run.

"My task is to be a voice that's positive," Kasich stated. "I'm not truly thinking about running for political workplace once again. I'm interested in being a voice that can assist bring the nation together once again."
