(CNN)Amid continuous calls to defund Planned Parenthood by lots of conservative Republicans in Congress, the group's leader stated Wednesday that they 'd deal with less fire if there were more lawmakers "that might get pregnant."

"They've come at us and come at females in such a way that is much harsher than I even thought of," Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards stated throughout a panel at the Women worldwide conference Wednesday in New York. "Frankly, if we had more members of the United States Congress that might get pregnant, we would stop combating about Planned Parenthood and access to reproductive healthcare."

Richards likewise implicated the ladies in President Donald Trump's administration, including his child, Ivanka Trump, of refraining from doing enough to promote females's interests in the White House.
