A Kenyan guy ran the quickest tape-recorded marathon time at Formula 1 track in Italy on Saturday.

Eliud Kipchoge crossed the goal in 2 hours and 24 seconds. The 32-year-old initially intended to finish the race in under 2 hours.

Kipchoges run beat the initial record of 2:02.57 which was set by Dennis Kimetto in Berlin in 2014; however due to the fact that of debate surrounding the system of pacemaking, Kipchoges time will not be taken into the record books.

Saturdays race was sponsored by Nike and included simply 3 rivals. Runners Zersenay Tadese and Lelisa Desisa ran out the marathon by the midway mark.
