‘The Most Beautiful Girl In The World’ Has Grown Up And Taken To The Catwalk In Milan

In 2011, 10-year-old Thylane Blondeau, was featured in a controversial advertising campaign for the Vogue Paris supplement, Vogue Enfants. The young girl was dressed in adult clothing, including stiletto heels, and seductive makeup as she lounged on an extravagant bed of fur and diamonds.

The campaign made headlines for overly sexualizing the French child model. However, this global attention also prompted Blondeau to be dubbed “The Most Beautiful Girl In The World”. Now, aged 16, Blondeau is making her mark in the fashion industry without any controversy, as she showcases the Spring/Summer ’18 collections at Milan Fashion Week… Thylane, the daughter of French footballer, Patrick Blondeau, was born in 2001. Her modelling career began at the tender age of 4, when she walked the runway for French designer, Jean Paul Gaultier. An event the teenager cannot even recall… Her plump lips and piercing blue eyes caught the attention of talent scouts across the globe, who fought to represent the tiny tot. Her unique looks, and sultry stare, saw her thrown into the spotlight where she was involved in some rather questionable modelling shoots for a girl of such an innocent age. The internet sensationalized the young model and quickly, her face became known to everyone with a wifi connection. Long before Kim Kardashian, Blondeau was breaking the internet. Her enviable pout and strong cheekbones had the world in awe, but at the same time, many were concerned about the rather adult way in which she was being photographed… Now, aged 16, the young model is set to take over the world, one Fashion Week at a time. Although, a majority of those who were in awe of her beauty six years ago, will barely recognize her now. A lot has changed… Despite her considerable – and inevitable – growth, Blondeau still possesses the plump lips and long, flowing hair that made her internationally famous as a child. Still stunningly beautiful, the teenage model has caught the eye of huge fashion houses, such as Michael Kors and Dolce & Gabbana, both of whom employed her to showcase their latest collections. At 5ft6, Blondeau isn’t your conventionally tall model, but she does look simply stunning on the red carpet, which is where she clearly belongs… Talking to Teen Vogue, Blondeau explained that her favourite thing about modelling is “meeting new photographers and makeup artists. I love to try on the clothes, too!” Despite her impressive career, the young model stays humble, telling Teen Vogue: “My friends and I don’t talk about it a lot. It’s kind of my secret garden. But my family is very happy for me.” Luckily Blondeau manages to find time to dedicate to her other loves in life, which include dancing, skateboarding, swimming, drumming and playing piano. She also spends a considerable amount of time sharing photographs on Instagram, where she has 1.6 million followers, and counting. Whilst her modelling career looks incredibly prosperous, Blondeau actually hopes to make a name for herself as a Hollywood star. The aspiring actress is currently reading several scripts, with some on-screen projects already lined up. Despite her good fortune in life, the 16-year-old model still has goals to reach, the main one being a co-star role with Angelina Jolie. Meanwhile, her modelling career is calling and Blondeau is struggling to answer all the calls. It is firm to say that she is no longer the little girl who sent the internet into meltdown, but she certainly going to cause chaos as her career really takes off!
