(CNN)United States Vice President Mike Pence doubled down on the United States dedication to Asia Pacific with a stern caution for North Korea, which he called the "most immediate and harmful risk" to the area.

Speaking aboard the USS Ronald Reagan in Japan Wednesday, Pence restated the United States and its allies were prepared to react to possible North Korean attack with "frustrating" force.

"We will beat any attack and fulfill any usage of nuclear or traditional weapons with a frustrating and efficient American reaction," the Vice President stated, to applause from the numerous United States and Japanese soldiers collected on the deck.
