Arizona Senator John McCain (R) appeared on CBS News' "Face the Nation" Sunday early morning and stated he believed the Senate's healthcare costs was "most likely going to be dead" when Congress returns Monday from the July Fourth recess.

After the senator stated that Republicans did not have the votes essential to pass the body's healthcare proposition, which would gut Medicaid and lead to 22 million more uninsured individuals over the next years , host John Dickerson inquired about next actions.

"My view is that it's most likely going to be dead," McCain stated. "But I've been incorrect. I believed I 'd be president of the United States. I fear that it's going to stop working."

McCain then proposed working and presenting an expense with Democrats.
